La Justicia de Túnez sobreseyó ayer a Amina Sboui, la feminista tunecina integrante del grupo Femen, quien fue juzgada el 22 de julio pasado por ultraje y difamación de funcionario. Amina había denunciado que fue víctima de malos tratos en la cárcel donde lleva dos meses de detención. “El tribunal ha decidido sobreseer a Amina. Femen Activists Beaten, Detained In Kyiv

Three activists with the radical feminist Femen movement and a Russian photographer say they were beaten and arrested by government special services ahead of a planned protest in Kyiv. The activists spoke to the media on July 28 after spending the night in custody. The four were released that day, but a court imposed fines for hooliganism and disobeying an order from police. Tunisia Femen activist cleared of defamation: Lawyer

TUNIS, July 29, 2013 (AFP) - A court on Monday dismissed one case against Tunisian Femen activist Amina Sboui in which she was tried for contempt and defamation, her lawyer said, calling the verdict “a victory”. But Ghazi Mrabet said Sboui still faces a pepper spray charge which carries a prison sentence of between six months and five years. Ukrainian feminist protesters, photographer released

KYIV, Ukraine, July 29 (UPI) -- A Ukrainian court released three members of feminist group Femen and a photographer who were arrested on hooliganism charges, police said Monday. Oksana Shasko, Alexander Shevchenko and Yana Zhdanova and photographer Dmitry Kostyuchkov were arrested Saturday while attempting to take part in a topless protest scheduled to take place at celebrations in Kyiv. The group was planning to demonstrate during the 1,025th anniversary celebrations of the Christianization of Kyivan Rus attended by Russian and Ukraine officials.
