I am really blown away by the contradiction between Green's claimed support of Femen and her role now in what appears to be it's 'debunking'. The 'patriarch' is not on the front lines, risking his @ss, but the fact that there *may* be a puppet master so to speak (have not seen the film so I can't really attest to what Green claims) seems to be being used to completely invalidate what these women are doing. A more interesting question is surfacing for me here...does the fact that the women are young and attractive in some cases invalidate their bravery? Does it invalidate their risking their lives? Does it invalidate their cuts and bruises, their court cases, their jail time, the fact that they have been assaulted and beaten up in almost every feminist action they have taken? What is this underlying pathological hatred or jealousy vs. attractive women that says that the presence of beauty invalidates every heroic or noble deed the possessor of such might commit? Since I have watched these women from the beginning with keen interest, I am finding they are uncovering yet another pathological strain in the human subconscious, which will lead to yet another interesting discussion.
