Topless protest in central London

Topless women from the Ukranian women's rights group Femen have taken their protest to London's City Hall.

Smeared with fake blood and painted with anti-Olympic slogans including "Olympic shame" and "No Sharia", they were attempting to draw attention to the participation of what they called "bloody Islamist regimes" in the Olympics.

"The Olympic Committee must not have allowed those governments to be represented in the Olympics," protestor Reze Moradi said on Thursday, without specifying any countries.

She continuted: "They are fascists of our time, they treat women like third-class citizens. This is what we object to, this is what they are protesting against."

The protest in London follows numerous other topless demonstrations, including at the Euro 2012 football tournament in Poland and Ukraine where they were concerned about prostitution.
