Femen, who call themselves ‘sextremists’, were set up in 2008 to protest women’s rights issues – however have since expanded to protest other political issues.

Their latest target was the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, dubbed the last dictator in Europe, who is on a two day official state visit to Ukraine.

The group burnt torches and chanted during the protest, while they had slogans such as ‘Viva Belarus’ and ‘Dictator, Get Out!’ printed on their bodies.

Femen claims their protest was to highlight the plight of journalists in Belarus, many of who they claim have disappeared after criticising the President.

The group also claims hundreds of journalists and political opposition figures are being held in prison camps.
