Three European feminists may face prison terms for taking part in a topless protest at a Tunis courthouse on May 29. Their lawyer says they will appear in court on June 5 – charged with public indecency.

The three women, two French and one German, were protesting at the arrest of a Tunisian member of the Ukrainian protest group Femen – known by the pseudonym Amina Tyler.

Tyler was fined by a court in the Tunisian city of Kairouan on May 30 for carrying pepper spray. She is being held in custody to face further charges relating to painting on the wall of a cemetery.
