KYIV, Ukraine (CNN) - Half-naked activists from the Ukrainian women's protest group Femen tried to storm the parliament building in Kyiv on Wednesday with toy horses. The activists tried to enter the building through the main entrance, but the police blocked it and forcibly removed them. Femen's website said that "based on the real events of the imperial horse Incitatus being taken to the Senate of Rome, today four mares at full speed tried to break into the Senate building of the Ukrainian Republic. A herd of potential senators was brutally stopped." The women say they were protesting >>>

Fear and loathing in Ukraine’s new parliament

Naked women and broken fences. Several brawls and plenty of insults. But even a full working day was not enough to elect a speaker or confirm a prime minister – the two key votes that were expected on the first day.The Verkhovna Rada members, however, vowed >>>

Video: Femen attack (warning: some nudity)

The last time I posted an article about the Ukrainian feminist group Femen, it remained on the "most popular" list for about three days. That suggests significant interest in the group of women, who go topless to drive home their criticisms of the sex industry and organized religion, and their support for same-sex marriage. For those who can't get enough of Femen, here's a musical tribute by Dj Tyra highlighting how the members manage to enrage the establishment. Warning—this contains some nudity. >>>
