Ukrainian lawmakers have approved a bill that bans discrimination against gay people at work – key legislation intended to help pave the way for visa-free travel between the country and the European Union. Le attiviste del movimento Femen hanno protestato oggi davanti al Parlamento di Kyiv contro quella che definiscono “l'omofobia” dell'istituzione e del Governo ucraino. Le Femen protestano come sempre a seno nudo spiegando che, mentre il Paese cerca di avvicinarsi all'Unione Europea, allo stesso tempo promuove le tradizioni patriarcali e l'intolleranza verso la libertà sessuale. “Con il loro comportamento maschilista – spiega una nota del movimento – le autorità tradiscono le aspirazioni del popolo ucraino che vuole condividere il suo destino con la civile Europa”. Die beiden Frauen wurden von der Polizei festgehalten, nachdem sie sich vor dem Haus der Werchowna Rada entblößt und gefordert hatten, am Arbeitsgesetzbuch eine Änderung vorzunehmen, welche entsprechend einer der EU-Normen die Diskriminierung aufgrund von Herkunft, Religion, sexueller Orientierung sowie Geschlecht verbieten soll.

Nach Polizeiangaben sollen die Festgehaltenen, die sich jetzt vor Ermittlern rechtfertigen müssen, freigelassen und die dazugehörigen Akten an ein Bezirksgericht weitergeleitet werden.
