A Moscow court Monday upheld sentences ranging from five to 12 days for three activists from the Ukrainian group Femen who were detained for staging a topless protest at the polling station where Vladimir Putin cast his vote, their lawyer told RIA-Novosti. Violetta Volkova said the court dismissed arguments that the action was a political protest and said it considered it rank exhibitionism. They were convicted of disorderly conduct. A brawl between a FEMEN activist - not topless this time incidentally - and a Ukranian MP occurred during a live TV show in Ukraine. The host asked the girl to comment on the protest group’s naked action during the presidential election in Russia. The girl instead called on her countrymen to renew protest actions against Ukrainian authorities, a suggestion which made the parliamentary deputy from the ruling party call her a “prostitute”. Diese Frauen hier haben am Sonntag für einige Unruhe bei der Präsidentschaftswahl in Russland gesorgt. Lautstark und halbnakt waren die Feministinnen der Gruppe "Femen" in Wladimir Putins Wahllokal gezogen. Dort hatten wenige Minuten zuvor Putin und seine Frau ihre Stimme abgegeben. Tres activistas de la organización feminista ucraniana “Femen” se desnudaron hoy para protestar contra el candidato favorito a la victoria en las elecciones presidenciales rusas Vladimir Putin en el colegio donde había votado pocos minutos antes.
