Tunisian police detained a Ukrainian topless activist in the capital Tunis before expelling her from the North African country on Tuesday, a leader of the women’s protest movement Femen said. “Some men entered her hotel room, ordered her to take her belongings and drove to the police... Femen ... we've just started hearing about this organization in the Arab world, after the controversy over a young girl in Tunisia posting her topless photo of herself on the net and then protesting against Salafists and being dragged to jail for that. Moments after I wrote a blog post about a Femen demonstration in Germany, the group held its first topless action in Canada. Xenia Chernyshova is reportedly the woman in the video above. As former Tunisian prime minister Jamadi Djebali was speaking in Montreal, she stormed onto the stage and ripped off her top.
